GOVERNMENT

Government is defined in Wikipedia as:

Government refers to the legislators, administrators, and arbitrators in the administrative bureaucracy who control a state at a given time, and to the system of government by which they are organized.^[1][2] Government is the means by which state policy is enforced, as well as the mechanism for determining the policy of the state.

To many people, government means the nanny squad.  The government is supposed to protect them from everything while providing them with all their wants and needs.  They want the government to do whatever is necessary to guarantee they never want.

Others want the government to be the enforcer of moral imperatives; if they do not like it, it must be immoral and the government should put a stop to it.

Bottom line:  people want the government to be all things to all people all the time.

Reality is this belief creates unlimited problems.
