beliefs

leave a comment »

beliefs are made up mental constructs; thoughts and dreams.

beliefs are not real.

beliefs are susceptible to rigorous proof.

An imaginary friend is a belief.

People create beliefs because they are failures or have character weaknesses.

It is a game of “let’s pretend”.

beliefs are for fools.

The facts no one wants to read.

GOVERNMENT

leave a comment »

From Wikipedia:

Government refers to the legislators, administrators, and arbitrators in the administrative bureaucracy who control a state at a given time, and to the system of government by which they are organized.[1][2] Government is the means by which state policy is enforced, as well as the mechanism for determining the policy of the state.

People seem to believe and act like government is god.  The different governments are different gods.  People pray to their god(s)/government(s) for the things they want.  Their god(s) should give them whatever they pray for.  Their belief is total.  Government is not something created by man, it is an all knowing, all powerful god that can grant their every wish.

If people have a problem, they expect the government/god to solve it, and do it today.

Each god has his own disciples(politicians).  These disciples are to carry the wants of the faithful to god.  Each religion/political party has its own beliefs.

People expect their god(s) to turn the earth into paradise.

So, which god do you believe in?

RATIONALIZING

with 5 comments

From Wikipedia:

In psychology and logic, rationalization (or making excuses[1]) is a defense mechanism in which perceived controversial behaviors or feelings are explained in a rational or logical manner to avoid the true explanation. It often involves ad hoc hypothesizing.  Sometimes this occurs when we think we know ourselves better than we do. It is also an informal fallacy of reasoning.

What this really means; people lie to themselves and others to justify their actions, thoughts and beliefs.

All this does is prove their  STUPIDITY.

It is like a person with any compulsive behavior problem denying their problem.  Everyone knows the person has a problem, so the person just proves his stupidity.

Everyone who reads this will believe that this is not them.  The truth; it is everyone who thinks this is not them.

Refusing to admit one’s faults is a character flaw.  It is a flaw that prevents the solution of problems/issues.

This is almost everyone.  So, admit it and become a better person.

GOVERNMENT

Government is defined in Wikipedia as:

Government refers to the legislators, administrators, and arbitrators in the administrative bureaucracy who control a state at a given time, and to the system of government by which they are organized.[1][2] Government is the means by which state policy is enforced, as well as the mechanism for determining the policy of the state.

To many people, government means the nanny squad.  The government is supposed to protect them from everything while providing them with all their wants and needs.  They want the government to do whatever is necessary to guarantee they never want.

Others want the government to be the enforcer of moral imperatives; if they do not like it, it must be immoral and the government should put a stop to it.

Bottom line:  people want the government to be all things to all people all the time.

Reality is this belief creates unlimited problems.

MAGIC

leave a comment »

Magic is defined as the art of illusion.  In literature, it is often practiced by sorcerers by casting spells and things just happened.

If asked if they believe in real magic, most people will say no.  But all of them LIE.

Everyone seems to want to believe in magic.

They go to the doctor to get a pill to cure themselves overnight.  Call their congressman to fix a problem immediately.  Protest about this and that.  They want a witch doctor.

Well, it is time they learned that there are no sorcerers, magicians or witch doctors.

They are all part of the Wishin’ and Hopin’ society.

It takes intelligence and hard work to solve problems.  Something that is in very short supply.

Truth

leave a comment »

Truth is a valuable asset in problem solving.  Truth is cold and sharp.  The trouble is that people do not like the truth.  People believe what they want to believe.  They want to live in a world of “wishing and hoping” instead of reality.  This hinders them in solving their problems.

Truth is not someone’s opinion.  It is fact.  Truth does not care what anyone thinks or wants, it just is.  Truth is not affected by anyone’s emotions.

Truth is never politically correct.

So, to be a better problem solver; an individual needs to learn to respect truth and accept it for what it is.

There are an unlimited number of problems in the world.  They may be called issues, situations, difficulties, conflicts or any other name, but they are still problems.

Problems are things that need a solution.

Problems can be big/small, important/trivial, hard/easy, complex/simple, but they are all still problems.
